The Iron Cross Society was founded as an honorary society for campus leaders in 1902. These leaders protected the iron cross that once hung on Bascom Hall. Now, the Iron Cross Society recognizes the achievements of juniors and seniors, and membership is open to women. The society serves as a forum for discussion about critical issues facing campus.
