Sharon Maidenberg ’99 named executive director at The Contemporary Austin

After 20 years in the bay area, and 13 at the helm of Headlands Center for the Arts, Maidenberg is relocating to Austin, TX where she will assume the post of executive director and CEO of The Contemporary Austin. Maidenberg has been in the nonprofit arts sector since graduating UW-Madison, where she studied African American and Diasporic arts & culture. “My commitment to the arts and to supporting the work of artists was cultivated under the excellent mentorship of a few key people at UW. I am so grateful!
