Badger Alumni Serve Up Success for Wisconsin Pickleball Club through JOOLA Partnership
Craig Chester ’05 and Kristen Van Dernoot ’02 recently collaborated to support a new generation of Badgers through a partnership between JOOLA, where they both work on the Strategic Partnerships team, and the Wisconsin Pickleball Club at UW–Madison. JOOLA, a global leader in pickleball and table tennis, outfitted the club’s competitive travel team with the latest JOOLA pickleball equipment and apparel and provided marketing support and fundraising opportunities to help the team excel. Looking ahead, the partnership will expand further in 2025, as the club works with JOOLA to design one-of-a-kind custom paddles featuring Wisconsin Pickleball Club artwork.
Pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the country, has found a vibrant home on campus. The Wisconsin Pickleball Club is among several teams leading the charge in the collegiate space as they compete in premier tournaments around the country including the DUPR Collegiate tour.
Kristen graduated in 2002 and was a letter winner for the women’s varsity tennis team in 2000 and 2001. Craig graduated in 2005 and is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon.
Craig, Kristen, and the JOOLA team are excited to continue supporting the growth and success of the Wisconsin Pickleball Club as it builds a legacy in collegiate pickleball.
