Day of the Badger a Huge Success

More than $1.7 million raised for immediate needs at UW-Madison

MADISON, WI (April 9, 2025) — During the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association’s sixth Day of the Badger event, April 8-9, more than $1.7 million was raised to help address the greatest needs on the UW-Madison campus. More than seven thousand gifts were made to more than 150 causes across campus.

“We are so grateful to all of the alumni and friends of UW-Madison who stepped up to help meet critical needs,” said Betsy Popelka Massnick, the director of annual giving at the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association. “These funds will be distributed in the next days and weeks to help students and the university now and into the future.”

2025 Totals:

  • Amount Raised: $ 1,708,483
  • Gifts:  7,116
  • Donors:  4,411

Six-Year Totals:

  • Amount Raised: $10.2 million
  • Gifts: 37,162
  • Donors: 32,126
