UW–Madison Graduate Awarded the ISCD Clinician of the Year

Kristyn Hare ’00 BSN, MMS, CCD, PA-C who is currently a practicing physician assistant at the UW Health Orthopedic Bone Health Clinic has been selected to receive the 2025 International Society of Clinical Densitometry Clinician of the Year Award. This award is presented to an outstanding clinician for distinguished service to the field of bone densitometry in the areas of publication, education, or leadership. She played a leading role in developing the UW Health Orthopedic bone health program which treats low bone mass and osteoporosis in adults in need of orthopedic surgery or who have had a recent broken bone. In addition she was also awarded the 2024 Andrew D. Bunta Clinician of the year from the American Orthopedic
Association Own the Bone Program. The Andrew D. Bunta Clinician of the Year Award seeks to recognize an outstanding clinician who captures Dr. Bunta’s selfless commitment to improving bone health care coordination and bone health management of orthopedic patients through the Own the Bone initiative.
