UW Madison history graduate named President of Kent State University: Todd Diacon

Todd A. Diacon, who earned his MA in History (‘83), and Ph.D in History (‘87), has been named the thirteenth President of Kent State University. He began service on July 1. For the last seven years he has served as the Provost of Kent State University. Previous administrative positions have included Deputy Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at the University of Tennessee. An historian of Brazil, he recently served as an on-camera expert for the PBS American Experience documentary “Into the Amazon.” He looks forward to visiting Madison when the Kent State Golden Flashes play at Camp Randall Stadium on October 5th.
