Soha Javaherian is cofounder and gemologist of jewelry startup

Soha Javaherian is from Eau Claire, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Fall of 2010 as a Letters & Sciences student, where he double majored in Economics and Languages and Cultures of Asia.

His last name translates in Farsi (Persian) to “Family of Jewelers” and is a 10th generation jeweler.

Since graduation, he’s developed skills and accreditations at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as a Graduate Gemologist, Accredited Jewelry Professional, and Graduate Pearls.

His professional experience ranges from having worked at Tiffany & Co. and as a Diamond Grader at GIA.

As the cofounder and gemologist at the jewelry startup called Soha Diamond Co., Javaherian is taking his background to specialize in laboratory-grown diamonds.

Being a part of the entrepreneurial hub at StartingBlock within the new downtown Spark building, Javaherian strives to accelerate growth and drive innovation to disrupt the $80 billion diamond industry.
