2017 AIChE Industrial R&D Award Presented to Dr. Robert S. Davidson

Robert S. Davidson, PhD ChE 1978, received the 2017 Industrial Research & Development Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for innovation that resulted in the commercialization of new processes for making nanoparticles, ceramics, optical materials, dental composites, and electrical composite conductors. His work supported over $1Billion in cumulative 3M sales. He also was designated as the Alumnus of the Year by the Washington University Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering. Bob has now retired from 3M after 36 years of service.
