Robert Amend Receives Lura Hanekamp Award for Excellence

The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson honored Robert Amend ’86 with the Lura Hanekamp Award for Excellence, which recognizes meritorious service provided by professional appointed personnel. Mr. Amend, a graduate of the UW School of Education, is Operations Manager for the Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and is responsible for maintaining the College’s CME accreditation status, as well as developing online medical education courses for regional and national distribution on the College’s CME website, The Virtual Lecture Hall (VLH.com).
