Rep. Danny Tenenbaum ’07 Passes Bill to aid Alzheimer’s Patients

Danny Tenenbaum, a public defender and Montana state representative from Missoula, wrote and passed a bill directing the state to end the involuntary commitment of people with Alzheimer’s and dementia in Montana’s state mental hospital. Danny was inspired by a 2012 Wisconsin Supreme Court decision that ended the practice in Wisconsin, specifically the concurring opinion by the late Justice Shirley Abrahamson DJS’62.
