From Toxicology to Transformational Leadership: Chris Sprague PhD’04 Leads a New Era in Leadership Development

Dr. Chris Sprague earned his doctorate in toxicology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in 2004. Now, more than two decades later, he is channeling his experience leading large teams and enterprise-wide transformations in Fortune 100 companies to revolutionize how we grow and develop leaders.
As the founder of the Enluma Leadership Group, Dr. Sprague is leveraging analytics and AI to make high-impact leadership training accessible to a broader audience — well beyond the C-suite.
“Far too often, great leadership programs are limited to senior leaders in medium-to-large companies and can cost tens of thousands of dollars per person,” Sprague says. “There’s a huge unmet need to develop future leaders across all levels of large organizations — and especially in small companies.”
With Enluma, he aims to close this gap and bring world-class leadership development to the masses.
