The Atelier 830 Watercolor and Paper Snowflake Series

Since 2019 Sarah DeYoung Metzger ’92 has been teaching watercolor painting classes and how to cut elaborate paper snowflakes at The Atelier 830, which is located in Nancy and Adrian Smith’s meticulously restored David Adler-designed estate in Lake Forest, Illinois. It provides a place for artists from various disciplines to collaborate and exchange ideas on everything from art to philosophy to politics. Sarah is currently painting a watercolor and oil series of national and state parks.
