Kari Nelson ’91: Emmy Award Winner

I [Kari Nelson ’91] was the broadcast manager for Primetime in Paris with Mike Tirico. NATAS [National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences] recognized me for my leadership and work on this show in Paris for the Olympics. I have previously been awarded Emmys for my work on the Winter Olympics in Beijing, and Super Bowl 50. I have been a production manager in sports television for over 30 years, and am currently the senior manager for studio operations at NBC Sports. I will be the studio production manager for the NBA’s return to NBC this fall. I will be the broadcast manager for figure skating in Milan for the XXV Olympic Winter Games in Italy.
