Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin legislature are debating the 2025-27 state budget. Join other supporters of UW-Madison by reaching out and making your voice heard.
Key UW-Madison priorities include:
- Increase state support for the Universities of Wisconsin, bringing state public funding for universities in Wisconsin from 43rd of 50 states, to the median level of state funding nationally.
- Change state law to give UW-Madison project flexibility when building facilities fully funded with UW-Madison generated revenue. This flexibility will reduce costly delays in campus building projects.
- Invest in critical infrastructure needs, including decommissioning the outdated Humanities Building and building additional housing to accommodate growing enrollment.
