ASHLAND, Wis. — A University of Wisconsin-Madison dean will highlight the latest in university research about bioenergy and biofuels at a public talk on Aug. 14.
The event will feature Molly Jahn, dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at UW-Madison, who will discuss current UW research on finding new, renewable sources of energy and its implications for the Chequamegon Bay Area.
The discussion will be held Thursday, Aug. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, 2100 Beaser Avenue, Ashland. The discussion is free and open to the public.
The event is hosted by the
Wisconsin Alumni Association and UW For You.
Jahn’s visit to the Chequamegon Bay area will also include tours of the Ashland Xcel Bay Front Power Plant and the Ardisam Corp. properties at the former UW Ashland Ag Station.
