The Wisconsin Alumni Club Pittsburgh Chapter is here to support the fellowship of Badger alumni in the greater Pittsburgh area. We strive to:

• build closer relationships among the university and its alumni in southwestern Pennsylvania
• socialize in the famous Wisconsin tradition
• encourage young people to attend the UW-Madison
• cooperate with the Wisconsin Alumni Association in promoting the best interests of the University

There are more than 800 UW alumni living in the greater Pittsburgh area. About 150 households are on our mailing and e-mail lists. Most of these members attend one or more of our social events each year. These include:

• the Founders Day dinner meeting in spring
• Brewer/Pirate tailgate and baseball game
• a summer picnic to announce scholarship winners
• a fall trip to see the Badgers play football
• a group trip to a play or cultural event
• a winter bowl-watching party

All funds collected, up to $10,000, will be matched by the UW Foundation. All proceeds will go to deserving local students attending UW-Madison.

We are proud of our scholarship program. Each year our club provides funds for Pittsburgh-area students attending the UW-Madison. These scholarships are generated by an annual fund-raising drive (watch your mailbox) and matching money from the UW Foundation. In the past eight years we have awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships.
